Beautiful, Tropical Hawaiian Islands

What can you say about Hawaii that hasn't been said so many times before? It's beautiful, tropical and has some of the most amazing scenery you'll see anywhere on earth. There are seven populated islands and for this exercise we'll take a look at just three of them.

Oahu

Oahu is the third largest in the group of islands known as Hawaii. It is also the most populated and is called "The Gathering Place" for good reason. People generally start their tour of the islands from Oahu and it has many wonderful attractions to explore. Just off to the left of Waikiki Beach is the famous Diamond Head crater, which is a popular hiking destination for many people.

Another well known attraction which is a must when you visit this island, is the Pearl Harbor Memorial. This is a memorial of great respect and reverence for the thousands who lost their lives there, and is a fitting reminder of the horrors of war.

Take a tour of the island and explore some of the quaint little towns on the way such as Haleiwa, which is only a one hour drive from Waikiki. Travel further and you'll come across the famous surfing beaches Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach. If you're there between November and February, you'll see some of the largest wave breaks in the world.

Head back to Waikiki and go shopping! You can choose to shop in outdoor or indoor malls or outlet stores where you'll find an array of products either moderately priced or if you prefer, top name brands.

Maui

Maui has been named "The Magic Island" and for good reason. From the beautiful beaches to fantastic scenery, this island has it all. Stroll along the seaside streets of Lahaina, and the lovely beaches of Kaanapali and you'll discover why so many people love Maui.

This is one of the best places to see the migration of thousands of Humpback whales as they choose to frolic in the warm, tropical waters of this magnificent island.

Travel along the east coast to the beautiful town of Hana. This trip is an adventure all its own. The Hana Highway has 620 curves and 59 bridges and leads you through lush rainforests, flowing waterfalls, plunging pools and dramatic seascapes. Get an early start so that you can take advantage of the stops along the way and see all of the lovely views.

Kauai

This island has been named "Island of Discovery" because of all the hidden treasures waiting to be found. From the soaring cliffs of the Napali Coast to the vast chasms within Waimea Canyon, Kauai will set your senses on fire like no other destination. Explore the island via land, sea or air to discover settings you've only ever dreamed about. Kauai is the jewel in the crown and is one of the most beautiful islands you'll ever see.

Visit the north shore where you'll find the very peaceful Hanalei Town. This beautiful little town is home to many historic places as well as a good spattering of contemporary art galleries.

There are so many good things about the Hawaiian Islands that will make it a must see on your travels. Don't miss an opportunity to explore some of the most beautiful natural wonders on earth.
